I would always play it on trips to the bay/Oakland, but I didn't get closure until I saw/heard Bino perform it Live in Oakland. This song always felt special, it always seemed like so much more. The song is about the travel Gambino does to see a girl in Oakland. The song and video go hand in hand and bring the song to another level. This song to me is an embodiment of his creativity and originality. I proceeded to listen to the song for the rest of the week on repeat, showcasing it to all my friends in the process. is the seventh track from his album Because the Internet. These little details are the reason why I love Gambino. I listened to it a second time and that's when I realized that It was actually a song within a song and that the "original" is sung by Lloyd. It felt like such an escape, it almost felt like I was with Gambino in his car on the way to Oakland. I started to smile as I realized that this song was about Oakland (I live in Northern California) and I loved the feel of the song. I remember waking up, going online and screaming with joy at the fact that Bino had just released a new song.
